Langtang Valley Trek

Meet our airport representative at the arrival terminal of Kathmandu airport. As soon as you get out of the arrival terminal, you will see a person with your nameplate and our company’s name waiting for you. After a brief welcome greeting, the representative will transfer you to a hotel in Kathmandu. Check in to the hotel and rest for a while. Your guide will meet you at the hotel and brief you about the plans and programs ahead. if you have any queries, you can ask it to your guide. Finally, the guide will leave you at the hotel after a short introductory session on the plans for the coming days of the trip. There are no scheduled plans/programs for the day. You can enjoy your time at the hotel on your own. In the evening, we have a surprise dinner for you at the authentic Nepalese restaurant. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Today, we leave Kathmandu and head towards Syabrubensi to initiate the trekking journey. In the morning, after breakfast, a representative from our team will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to a vehicle that will drive you all the way along the lush and countryside landscape of Nepal to Syabrubensi. On the way, we pass beautiful hills, forests, villages, farmlands and rustic roads. We drive pass the busy settlement around the Trishuli river area and climb up towards Syabrubensi via Dhunche. Overnight in Syabrubensi. 

Today, we get set to move ahead along the trail that leads us to the Langtang valley. After breakfast, we energize ourselves and walk past the villages to enter into the Langtang National Park. The park enriched with floras, faunas and rich ecosystem is home to various species of birds, animals and wildlife. We traverse through the dense forests of rhododendron, oak and bamboo inside the park and ascend up to Lama Hotel. The trail for the day is easy and jovial with lushness all around. After breakfast, we continue with our journey that climbs up through a dense forest of rhododendron and bamboo. On the way, we will be blessed with few short glimpse of Langtang Lirung amidst the gaps between the trees in the forest. The trail passes through the horse stables in Ghode Tabela and opens out from the forested area towards the wild mountainous terrain. We hike up along the local Tamang villages and yak pastures until we reach Langtang village. At Langtang, we will be rewarded with some scenic and astonishing wild mountainous terrain. Overnight in Langtang village. 

Today is a free day in Langtang village. After breakfast in the morning, we walk towards Mundu which is a beautiful and quaint village with a mixture of traditional houses and modern teahouses. Did you know? The Langtang village was completely destroyed by the massive earthquake of 2015. The village has been restored now therefore you can see new houses in abundance on your way to the village. We hike up to Kyangin gompa which is a spiritual center of Langtang. The colorful prayer flags, mani walls and stupa along the trail gives us a spiritual vibes of Buddhism religion. Near to the gompa lies a local cheese factory. We visit the factory and climb up to Kyanjin Ri. The Ri is an ideal location in the valley to enjoy the views of sunset, mountains and entire valley. one can admire the picturesque view of mountains like Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Gang Chhenpo, Langshisa, etc from here. It’s an another day in Langtang village. Today, we hike up to Tserko Ri. The trail climbs up the valley with some inspiring views of wild landscape around. From the top of the Ri, one can relish the stupendous views of mountains such as Langtang Lirung, Naya Kangla, Yala Peak, Yubra Himal and many more. We can see a series of mountains that stretches from north to south. After some quality time at the Ri, we get back to the Lnagtang village and explore around the traditional houses interacting with the locals. Overnight in Tserko Ri.

After exploring around the Langtang village for two days, it’s time we embark our journey back. Today, we leave Langtang village and descend down to Lama Hotel. We retrace the same trail back to the Lama Hotel. The trail drops down along the ethnic village inhabited by Tamang people. The region is mostly dominated by people of Tamang community who have their own unique culture, custom and follow Buddhism religion. We follow Langtang river and walk past Langtang village and Ghoda Tabela to Lama Hotel. Overnight in Lama Hotel

Moving ahead with the trek, we leave the Lama hotel and descend down the trail slowly and gradually. The follow a forested route full of scenic views. The birds chirping, lush hills and mountains in the background adds an extra effect to the trek. After descending for a while, the trail again starts climbing up towards the Thulo Syabru. The trail for the day blesses us with some incredible views of mountains such as Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himal. We continue through the trail until we reach Thulo Syabru. Overnight in Thulo Syabru.

Leaving Thulo Syabru, we get down to Dhunche today. It’s the last day of our walking journey where we drop down all the along a trail full of rhododendron forests to Dhunche. It’s a pleasing day walk along an easy and lush trail full of scenic views. In the evening, you can celebrate for your successful accomplishment of the trek. Overnight in Dhunche.

Today, after the successful accomplishment of Langtang Valley Trek, we drive back to the capital city – Kathmandu. We drive back along the scenic countryside landscape to Kathmandu. On reaching Kathmandu, you can either rest in the hotel or excurse around the shops in Kathmandu city especially around the Thamel area. Overnight in Kathmandu.
